The Villager Trading Depot is a collaborative effort by jimebersole, KASS474, and Madd Trucker49 to introduce a trading system to The Old World. It is very similar to the Villager Trading Hall located on The Island.

History[]

Due to the age of the original map, jimebersole and KASS474 needed to travel nearly 2000 blocks away from spawn in order to find an area where they could begin to work with villagers. They were joined shortly after by Madd Trucker49. Later on, The Villager Trading Depot was expanded to include both Skeleton and Drowned XP farms and an automated melon/pumpkin farm with the help of Jollycapthoke.

Trading[]

Since villagers require emeralds to trade, and emeralds are difficult to obtain, there are six farmers available to assist with this. You can trade with the farmers once a day to obtain 96 Emeralds. You can do this more than once a day, but trade rates get worse the more you do it.

The farmers are all set to trade carrots, pumpkins, and watermelon. There are several farms available for you to harvest, but you must replant. It is also recommended that you use a pickaxe enchanted with Fortune III for a higher drop rate.

Each villager has their own area and they are protected by Iron Gollums. There is a skeleton farm on site that will enable you to gain the levels needed to apply the enchantments.
